Visit Y2mate and join the URL of the YouTube video. You can also search YouTube straight from the text box.

When using Y2mate from an Android device, copy the YouTube association from the YouTube app. Go to the video and tap Share> Copy link.

Choose the quality of the video you want to download, and then select Download.

The video may take several seconds or more to convert to MP4.

To save YouTube videos to the camera roll of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for offline viewing, you will need to install an application called Papers by Readdle.

This application has a built-in web browser capable of saving video files to your device, something that normal iOS web browser applications cannot.

Once you have downloaded and installed Papers by Readdle on your iOS device, open it.

Tap the compass icon in the lower right intersection of the screen.

In the address bar at the lid of the screen, go to y2mate.Com and wipe the blue Go button. This will extend the y2mate website in the app.

There will be a search bar on the y2mate website. You can use it to find the YouTube video you want to save by typing the phrase or word you want and wiping the red arrow button. Search results may appear as you kind.

Several YouTube videos will appear below the search bar. Tap the green Download video button below the video you want to download.

Use the tab control at the bottom right of the app to find and select the tab that was just opened. 

All of this must be done from the Documents by Readdle application. Do not exit the application at any time during this process.

In this second browser window, scroll down until you see the green download buttons and a list of video solutions in a table. Once you’ve decided what answer you want, tap the green video download button to the right of it.

Use only these green download buttons. Any other link or graphic that says “Download” on this page is probably an advertisement trying to mislead you.

Interacting with these ads could install malware on your device or visit your personal information stolen.

Tap Download. Mp4 in the pop-up window and then provide a name for the file. You can also choose a different download location here.

Tap Done at the shelter to start downloading the YouTube video.

Tap the folder icon in the lower-left hub.

Tap Downloads.

You should see the downloaded video. If it’s finished downloading, tap the three small beads below.

Touch Copy.

Press Photos. You will be asked to give Papers by Readdle access to Photos on your device. Approve this access.

Press Copy. Your video will now be known within the iOS Photos app on your device.
